While a Senator for the state of New York, Al D'Amato was appointed Chairman of the Committee on Security and Cooperation in Europe (The Helsinki Commission) where he wrote the Libya Sanctions Act to thwart the attempts of guerilla nations to finance international terrorism through the cultivation of oil fields. The Act was written in 1996, five years before the attack on the World Trade Center. While Senator Al D’Amato certainly didn’t foresee the future he felt the pulse of it. Writing this document put him, literally, years ahead of his colleagues.

While doing time as an author, actor, TV news correspondent, board member of Computer Associates (CA) and acting as a member of the Floss.com board of advisors D’Amato has still managed to create, develop and firmly establish his business consulting firm, Park Strategies, as a big time player in a big time game. D’Amato knows the ins and outs of political lobbying and has used this superior knowledge to his advantage.
